Ingredients
-
1 Loaf Cuban (or French) Bread
-
8 oz. Sliced Ham (We choose Marble Ridge Farms!)
-
6 oz. Pulled Pork (We choose Blues Hog!)
-
6 oz. Slices Swiss Cheese
-
4 tbsp. Blues Hog Honey Mustard
-
2 tbsp. Butter
-
Dill Pickles (optional)
-
Blues Hog Premium Natural Lump Charcoal
Directions
Cut your bread into 8-10 inch pieces, then cut these pieces in half lengthwise.
Slather the halves with Blues Hog Honey Mustard.
Pile the cheese, pulled pork, ham and pickles onto the bottom half and place the top half of the bread to make your sandwich.
Heat your Gateway Drum to 375ºF with some Lump Charcoal, lay some butter down on the cast iron skillet and plop your sandwich down.
Carefully place a heavy pan or brick on top of the sandwich and press down panini style.
Leave the weight there and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.
Grease a different section of your pan and gently flip your sandwich, replace the weight, and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes. Your cheese should be melted and the bread should be golden brown and crunchy.
Slice your sandwich in half with a heavy, sharp knife and chow down!
